This year, I listened to half as many audiobooks as in 2021. I’m not sure why that is but it didn’t make listing my favourites any easier. Quality over quantity, I guess. As usual, I got codes from authors or narrators for some of these (thank you!), or received ALCs through Libro.fm (please buy from them if you can, they’re incredibly nice and you’ll be supporting the independent bookstore of your choice), others I bought with my own credits. Whether I paid for these audiobooks or not, if they’re on this list, it’s because I loved them. Here’s my top 10, in chronological order of reviews (click on the titles to read the reviews):

#1 Ophelia After All by Racquel Marie, narrated by Maria Liatis
#2 The Headmistress by Milena McKay, narrated by Abby Craden
#3 Yerba Buena by Nina LaCour, narrated by Julia Whelan
#4 The Delicate Things We Make by Milena McKay, narrated by Abby Craden
#5 The Other Side of Forestlands Lake by Carolyn Elizabeth, narrated by Amy Deuchler
#6 The Tell Tale by Clare Ashton, narrated by Lucy Rayner
#7 In the Shadow of the Past (Shadow #1) by J.E. Leak, narrated by Abby Craden
#8 A Whisper of Solace by Milena McKay, narrated by Abby Craden
#9 Mistakes Were Made by Meryl Wilsner, narrated by Stephanie Németh-Parker & Quinn Riley
#10 Even Though I Knew the End by C.L. Polk, narrated by January LaVoy
While these two audiobooks weren’t released in 2022, I enjoyed both tremendously, for very different reasons: This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar & Max Gladstone, narrated by Cynthia Farrell & Emily Woo Zeller and Payback’s a Witch (The Witches of Thistle Grove #1) by Lana Harper, narrated by Jeremy Carlisle Parker.
