A very short but fast-paced story, just enough to give the reader a taste of what could be: intriguing characters with hints at a backstory that make me want to know more about them, swashbuckling pirates and an heiress who’s sexy, kind and brave, a potentially fascinating world-building and the possibility of adventures. A quick and exciting read by an author, Carolyn Elizabeth, whose first two novels I have loved, trying her hand at something different.
