Both really good and a bit painful to read. Sarah fell in love with Kat the first time they met. They were 12. It takes Kat 20 years to realize she feels the same. I felt sorry for Sarah most of the time, and at the same time kind of admired her. The whole story is full of wrong turns but they feel believable, not stretched. I really liked Kat, even when I was mad at her 😉 Neil, Sarah’s brother, was a hard one to like, yet I still get why he acted the way he did.
If you’re not afraid of angst, go for it, it’s worth it.
